Country Fair

Today was my youngest son's Country Fair. We have been working on this project and paper for weeks and it's finally done. He did a great job and did most of the work by himself. I sometimes wonder if teachers plan these projects to make parents spend more time with their kids, if so, bring it on, I love working on stuff like this with my kiddos.

I don't love this shirt under the sweater and I tried to not wear it, but it was just to darn cold today! Sometimes warmth wins out over what I think looks good.

Getting Lost

Do you ever have those days of getting lost on the web? Today was one of those days for me. I guess I just felt a little lazy and reading about other people and their lives is so fascinating that I couldn't pull myself away. I lazily read one blog after another and found myself laughing, crying and loving all the amazing stories there are in this world. People are so strong and amazing, it inspires me. Somedays are just good for getting lost.

Liebster Blog Award

When I returned home from my trip I was greeted with a happy message from Laura over at Eat it Up. She is an incredibly sweet lady and I feel totally honored to receive this award.

Now it is my turn to pass on this award to fellow bloggers. I was so excited to do this and had a hard time choosing. There are so many amazing bloggers out there in the blogosphere!

This award spotlights up and coming bloggers who generally have less than 200 followers.
Upon receipt of the Liebster Award, there are a few very simple rules:

1. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
2. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
3. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
4. Hope that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers

Now it's my turn to pass this award on and spotlight 5 great up and coming blogs!
Go check out this lovely ladies and their killer sense of fashion!

Thanks so much for giving me this award :)

Home and Happy?

We are home from our lovely vacation. It was the best vacation I have ever been on. We spent the week in the Western Caribbean with my entire family it was amazing. It is hard to come back to reality and get back into life. But, now that the laundry is done, the e-mails are answered, and I have waded through our pile of mail, it's on to the blog...

Here are a few pictues of our group.

Holiday

If I were British I would be telling you all about my upcoming holiday, but I am American and we are going on a vacay! We have been planning this trip for 2 years! My hubby and I are taking our kids on a cruise and my entire family is going with us. We are going to have a great time and I am super happy this has all come together as planned. I have been so busy this week getting everything ready to go I have not had time to update my blog. So instead of outfit pictures I bring a picture of our ship.

I will be back in a week!

Falling for Fall

Fall is officially here, today is cool and rainy and they are predicting snow in the mountains. I am excited to pull out my fall wardrobe. (especially the cute boots I got for my birthday!)  Some of my favorite things about fall are; boots, scarves, sweaters, rain, apple pie, warm cider, pumpkin carving and the cool crisp air. What do you love about Fall?

It's that time of year, time to get our annual Flu Shots. There is nothing as exciting as dragging your children to get a shot. They love it so much (insert sarcasm) and my youngest always gets totally sick from it, something to look forward to (insert more sarcasm). I often wonder if it's really worth all the hassle. I hope that by getting this shot I really am protecting my family and not just getting them poked and making them feel terrible for no reason. What is your opinion? Does your family get the flu shot?

Spinning a Yarn

I love Conference Weekend. I love listening to the word of our leaders and spending the day with my family. I also love having a project to keep my hands busy while I listen. I am always on the hunt for something fun to make and this weekend I made a couple of things with yarn that I found on Pintrest. That site is so addicting! I enjoyed making them and I love how they turned out!
