I know most people hate Valentine's Day, but I love it. It is just this fun little holiday with not huge expectations but you get to do nice things for the peole you love. This year I gave my hubby a Valentine note and treat everyday in February leading up to Valentine's Day. It was fun to leave him little surprises and he had fun teasing me about his Secret Admirer. I also sent a huge care package to our missionary with lots of Valentine goodies for him and the Elders in his district. We had heart shaped pizza for dinner and I gave my other kiddos a treat and a card. I also got spoiled with beautiful roses and chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite! I just love, love. What did you all do to celebrate?

Mr. Green Jeans
Today we are linking up our bright colors and these pants certainly fit the bill! I fell in love with the look of these pants but I put off buying them because I was scared about pulling them off. When they went on sale and I had a coupon, I took the plunge! I actually really like them and didn't feel to crazy legs wearing them. I can't wait to try them out with other tops and sweaters. Sometimes you just have to take that fashion plunge!

Watch it!
I have a thing for watches. It probably started in the 8th grade when everyone was wearing multiple Swatch watches around their teenaged wrists. I longed for a cool watch, but could not afford a Swatch watch of my own. So I bought a much less expensive knock-off and thus began my love of watches. Over the years I have had many watches some big, some small, casual, fancy, stylish and silly and I loved them all. This is my current collection...
These pants are the most amazing color purple that you can't really see in these pictures, but trust me they are delicious!
What is the one accessory that you love the most?

Out and About
Over the past few months my life has been crazy hectic getting ready for our cruise and helping my son get ready for his mission. The past two days have been blissfully quiet and it has been nice to hang out around the house and get some things done that I have wanted to do. However, after a few days of not going anywhere I needed to go out and about for awhile today. Since I didn't need to go anywhere specific I headed to my favorite place, the Mall. I don't have much money in the ol' budget right now, so I just window shopped and got lots of ideas for my Christmas list. (yikes! Christmas, who wants to think about that!)

Country Fair
Today was my youngest son's Country Fair. We have been working on this project and paper for weeks and it's finally done. He did a great job and did most of the work by himself. I sometimes wonder if teachers plan these projects to make parents spend more time with their kids, if so, bring it on, I love working on stuff like this with my kiddos.
I don't love this shirt under the sweater and I tried to not wear it, but it was just to darn cold today! Sometimes warmth wins out over what I think looks good.

Runnin' Just as Fast as We Can
It seems like everyday I am writing about how busy I am. I guess I am just in that stage in my life. Today I went to work to get trained on the new computer system, then I took my hubby to pick up our son's car, on the way home we stopped at Lowes to pick out a new kitchen faucet, followed by a stop at the library, the bank, and the beauty supply store. We finally made it home to make dinner and help with homework. As soon as that was done we were off to JCPenney to buy a shirt and tie for my son for the Homecoming dance this weekend. And now it is time to get ready and fall into bed, so I have the energy to do it all again tomorrow. I just love being a wife and mother!

Fancy Shoes
These shoes may look like regular everyday shoes, but they are dubbed Sunday shoes because these babies pinch! Therefore, they can only be worn on days when they will only be on my feet for a few short hours and I will be doing lots of sitting. My hope is that by wearing them more they will stretch and become comfy everyday shoes!

Tuck It In!
Day 2 of the challenge is to tuck it in. I must admit I am not much of a tucker. Occasionally I tuck, but most of the time I prefer the untucked look. I had a bunch of different ideas running around in my head about what to wear. I settled on this look, tucked but still covering my rumples around the middle. At first, I just had the white Tee but at the last minute I tossed on this orange striped shirt because I was headed to the mall where the A/C is blasting and I am always cold. It made me feel more comfy and I hope it follows the tucked in rule.

Teacher
I teach the Relief Society lesson about every three months and today was my turn. I woke up with huge butterflies in my tummy and they stayed there all day until my lesson was over. I really do love teaching, but boy do my nerves get the better of me sometimes. I taught about the temple today and I truly am grateful for the many things I have gained while attending the temple. I love the peace I feel when I am there, I always come away feeling like a new person.
