Baby You Can Drive My Car...

Today has been a busy day of sitting in my car. It seems like every child had to be somewhere that required me to drive. I also picked up my adorable nephews from school today and drove my daughter to a local amusement park that is 45 min. away. So, if you want to drive my car (which you should cuz it is really cute)you can, IF you drive my kiddos all the places they need to go!

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and I am lucky to have one of those Dads who is just the best! My Dad is smart, funny, kind, loving and someone I always turn to. I love him very much.
I am also lucky to be married to a great dad. My hubby works so hard to provide his family, especially his kids, with everything they need. I was young when we got married but I must have been inspired because I sure picked a good one.
I love these two guys with all of my heart!
Okay, I look totally dowdy in this outfit. This skirt is headed to the Deseret Industries! I should really take pics before church so I know when I look this bad!

Lace Up Shoes

You may have noticed, or not, that I have been wearing lace up shoes lately. I got my new orthotic inserts and I have to wear them everyday increasing the time by one hour everyday. Can I tell you that this is really putting a cramp in my style. It is finally warm enough to wear all my cute sandals and I have to wear lace up shoes. I hope it is worth sacrificing my personal style! After all, the shoes make the outfit, plus their my favorite part!
I am not sure if it's the pants or this picture, but my midsection is not looking so good here.

Couple BFF

My hubby and I have been close friends with another couple for the past 15 years. We started going on dates with them and we just had so much fun together. They are the kind of people that you can talk to about anything, and they share our same values and goals. Our families love each other. We have been on many vacations together, they have been important people in our lives. They are our couple BFF. We have a set date with them every month and it is something I look forward to so much. Last night was our night out with them. It was awesome, as it always is...

Ahoy!

Today I am feeling very nautical, don't you think my hubby should run out a buy a yacht to match my outfit? Forget about the fact that we don't live near the ocean, we could put it out on The Great Salt Lake. They have yachts there don't they?

Hard Loss = Lesson Learned

Tonight our team lost. It was a tough loss and the boys took it hard. After the game the coach was trying to rally their spirits and the boys were not listening or respecting the coach, they had a serious case of bad attitude. So the coach made them run, three laps. That made them pay attention and give the coach the respect he deserves.

Well, that got me thinking...wouldn't it be great if we could make people in our lives run laps when they give us attitude. When the kids mouth off, three laps around the yard. The rude sales associate at the store, "I'm sorry, but before you finish my transaction, I am going to need a few laps around the produce section." The rude driver who cuts you off, "Sir, I am going to need you to step out of your vehicle and take a lap" That would be so satisfying! But, it also got me thinking...how many times would I have to do laps during the day? Time to think about my own attitude. Or maybe I'll just get in really good shape :)
Ya, I accidentally deleted the picture where I have my eyes open.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

My son had the most exciting baseball game tonight! We were down 5 to 1 when we had to stop the game for a rain delay. When we started playing again our team tied up the game. The next inning the other team scored 4 runs, the score was then 9 to 5. It was our final time up at bat and I didn't think we had a chance! Well, the boys donned their rally hats and we came back to win the game 10 to 9! It was such an exciting game, I am totally hoarse from all the yelling!
Here are some of my expressions during the game!

I am also participating in EBEW!

Changes

Today was full of change. We got a new bishop in our ward. It is always hard to change such a strong figure in your life. Our outgoing bishopric was amazing. I fully support our new bishopric, it just always makes for lots of change. As they pull these men from their current callings it always starts a domino effect that leads to many changes within the ward. Not that it is a bad thing, just something that takes getting used to.

Today is also my baby's birthday. He is now 11 and growing up way to fast. It's hard to believe my children are all getting so old. Especially because I haven't aged a day past 30!

Yesterday we had our pre-trek walk to the temple. The weather was perfect, and the walk was great. I have hope that I will not die along our trail. Yipee!

More Prep

Today has been full of more preparations for our Trek. I met with all of the other Ma's this morning to put together a few things for our Trek families, followed by yet another trip to the store. Every time I think I have everything I need, a few more things pop up on my list. I will probably go to the store everyday before we leave.
Tonight my son has another baseball game. Because of all the rained out games we have 6 games in the next 8 days. That is a lot of baseball. My poor hind end will never make it on those hard bleachers for that many games. I guess I will have to walk around and have a snack from the snack bar :)
