Makin' a list...

Today was a busy day. I started off making a long list of things to get done. I love making lists, but I love checking things off my list even more. I have read on several of my fellow bloggers sites that they are also list makers, even adding things that are already done just to cross them off. That is so me! I have almost finished everything on my list today, when I finish this post, I can scratch off on more item. Yea!

Because of my busy day, I ran out of daylight and had to take the pics inside.

Indecision

This morning I ironed three outfits. Now we all know how much I love ironing, but three outfits, seriously. My first thought was, I want to wear my cute brown boots, so I picked an outfit to match my boots. Then I remembered that I have to attend a camp meeting for my daughter tonight and it is "Sunday Dress". The first outfit was way to wrinkle prone to sit around in all day. So, I picked out a more wrinkle resistance skirt and sweater, but the sweater was 3/4 length and more of a springtime sweater and it is only 32 degrees today. That brought me to my third and final outfit. Am I the only one who puts way to much thought into each outfit? Geez, talk about being indecisive!

Don't let the sunshine fool you it is freezing outside. (Also, please don't look at my dead rose bush)

Working Saturday

Today I spent the day helping my mom and dad do some deep cleaning. I actually love cleaning and organizing, and doing it to help out my parents is even better.

My outfit today is not inspiring, but necessary for the type of day I have planned. We all have those days that we dress for necessity and not for fashion. Today is one of those days :)

Hoodie: West Yellowstone, Grey T-shirt: Aero, Jeans: Old Navy, Shoes: TOMS, Watch: American Eagle.

Lots of loud music

Mix together and let simmer for 4 hours.
What you get: singing, dancing, laughing and giggling.

I had so much fun with my daughter and her dance team. What a great group of girls. I know they are going to have a great competition season this year!

I wanted to keep my outfit simple today because I knew it was going to be crazy!

Spring Green

I wore this outfit last week but didn't have a chance to post it. But don't you love these green shoes?
I found these cuties at Urban Outfitters and I knew I had to have them! I even wore them on a snowy day in February because I could not wait! I love when I get something new that inspires new outfit combos that I would not have considered before.

Standing Tall

Every time my hubby takes my picture he tells me to "stand up straight" I never realized how much I slouch until now. But it got me thinking about why I do it, I guess it is because I am tall for a girl (5'8") and I always feel like I tower over everyone around me. So, I try not to appear tall by slouching, not a good habit. I am making it a goal to try and stand tall and be proud of how I look, instead of trying to be something I am not. After all, it was my long legs that first caught my hubby's eye :)

I love these cute pink shoes because they look like something that a character from Dr. Suess would wear. I worked again today and I love wearing cute flats because of all the walking around I do while working. I also love the bright pop of color they add to an otherwise dull combo of colors.

Inspired

I actually wore this outfit last week (notice the shorter hair) but I didn't have a chance to post it. I was so inspired by this cute girl and her beautiful flower pin. So, I have been on the lookout for some cute flower pins for myself. While shopping the other day I found this cute pin and knew I wanted to add it to my accessory wardrobe.
Although it is not as bright, I still love it. I am, however, still on the hunt for bright pink!

Sorry about the dark pics, it was way to cold to go outside :)

I am always so inspired by the wonderful girlies that blog about fashion. Who inspires you?

Purple and Grey Monday

Today I have a list a mile long of things to do. That is why I started planning this outfit around my cute plaid converse. They are so comfortable and that just is what I need for today. After trying several combo's, I decided to pick the one that offered comfort and warmth. Hopefully it looks cute too!

I am planning a team party for my daughter and all the girls on her dance team. It is so hard to plan a party that will satisfy the teen idea of a "great" party. I am off to find inspiration, wish me luck!

Ironing board confessions

I must confess that I am a compuslsive ironer (is that even a word?) I iron everything, I have even ironed my jeans. Silly, I know. When I was little my mom would pay me 10 cents for everyone of my dad's shirts that I ironed. So, iron them I did. I love the crispness of the fabric after you iron, and don't even get me started on the steam setting... I feel like it restores the item to store-like newness, and it makes me smile. Because of this little habit, I go through a lot of irons. I can't even tell you how many. They just wear out because of so much use.

A few days ago I noticed that the cord to my iron has a short. It's not bad, Iwill replace the iron over the weekend. Of course, I can't remember to buy a new iron. Fast forward to this morning and me trying to iron my dress for church. I am trying to hold the cord at just the right angle and iron at the same time. Not such a pretty picture, I had the cord over one shoulder, while pressing it in just the right spot, to make the little red light appear. It worked, the dress got ironed, and on my to do list for tomorrow...buy another new iron.

Rain Day Saturday

Today is a bit rainy, which combined with running errands, is not kind to the hair do. Oh well, what is a girl to do? I am deciding to curl up on my sofa with a great book and a little chocolate! How are you spending your rainy day Saturday?

Numb Bum

What do you get when you spend five hours in a beauty salon chair? Numb Bum! But it was worth it because look at my new luscious locks!

This shirt makes me look quite busty, not liking that much. Since I wore a black cape over my clothes most of the day, I guess it doesn't matter  :)

JA Biz Town

Today I got to spend the day with about 60, 5th graders, and I had a blast. The Junior Achievement City is a real city set up to give kids a chance to see what it is like to be an adult for the day. They were all assigned jobs in a city. They had all different kinds of businesses and they ran the city for a day. Each student also got paid, paid taxes, opened a savings and checking account, they had to make purchases and do their job. It was an ideal way to give kids a chance to see how the world works a little bit. I got to go along and help run the company, with the help of the CEO, CFO and all the other employees at our little business.

I also got to wear this awesome green smock...try not to be jealous.
I had to sneak in the bathroom and get a pic of this little beauty.

Underneath my green smock, this is what I wore...

Striped shirt: Kohl's. White shirt: Shade, Black jeans: Miss Me, Boots: EBay, Belt: Target, Jewelry: Lia Sophia.

(This actually happened on 2/15 but yesterday was wireless Wednesday, so I am just getting to it today. I am a day behind, but I will post it all, don't worry, not that you were, but just in case...)
