I am not sure why, for me, Friday is so exciting. I don't work full time, so it doesn't mean time away from work. It is not really time off from anything, actually weekends are more work for me because everyone is home and going a million different directions. That being said I still feel that happy little flutter because I know it's Friday! Today I know why, because I have a date planned with my hubby and it's Conference Weekend. Two of my favorite things.

Sunny Days
We are hanging on to our summer like weather around here and even though I am longing to pull out all my boots and cute sweaters, I am enjoying theses nice sunny days because winter will be here before we know it! Today was one of those days that seemed like a day with not much going on but turned into a busy day. Starting out with visiting teaching, followed by an eye appointment, picking up my nephews from school and finishing up with a Presidency meeting. And now, I am tired.

Hangin with the Boys
I am hangin' with the boys today. My hubby is off and my youngest son is off track so we decided to check out the local Argentine food after my oldest son gets home from school. He has been called to serve his mission in Argentina and is so excited. We are going to eat lunch and then start what is the beginning of checking off his to do list. There is so much to do in a short amount of time. Luckily when it comes to shopping, I am a master!

Let the Children Sing!
The Primary Children's Sacrament meeting program was today in our ward. This is one of my favorite days at church, listening to the little kids with their adorable smiles and their quiet voices talk about the Savior and hearing them sing always makes me feel the spirit. This is the last time one of my own children will participate in the program and it has me feeling a little sad. This part of my life is ending and I am longing for the days of having little ones in my home. I love having teenagers but I am entering the phase of my life where my children are starting to leave home and I am not ready to send my little chicks out into the big, bad world.

Masks
I worked at the doctor's office this morning and then I went to the school to make Egyptian masks with my youngest son. We covered their faces with Vaseline and then applied the plaster strips. It was funny to watch the kids walking around with their masks drying and not being able to talk, they would gesture to each other and try to talk. It's interesting that even without being able to speak that we will still find any means to communicate.
Smile!

Runnin' Just as Fast as We Can
It seems like everyday I am writing about how busy I am. I guess I am just in that stage in my life. Today I went to work to get trained on the new computer system, then I took my hubby to pick up our son's car, on the way home we stopped at Lowes to pick out a new kitchen faucet, followed by a stop at the library, the bank, and the beauty supply store. We finally made it home to make dinner and help with homework. As soon as that was done we were off to JCPenney to buy a shirt and tie for my son for the Homecoming dance this weekend. And now it is time to get ready and fall into bed, so I have the energy to do it all again tomorrow. I just love being a wife and mother!

5 Posts in One
You are so lucky! Because I have been lazy busy and I haven't had a chance to update my blog. So today you are getting 5 days of blogging in one post!
Thursday I worked and came home with the worst headache. I managed to take a picture before throwing on my PJ's and crawling into bed.
Friday was my birthday and my hubby took me shopping and out to lunch! It was fun to spend the day with him spoiling me, he is the best!
Friday afternoon I left with some incredible ladies to spend the evening at a cabin preparing to run the Dirty Dash the following morning. Oh, and by preparing I mean staying up way to late and eating raw cookie dough, chocolate covered almonds and cinnamon bears. We are serious athletes after all!
After my crazy Saturday and because of all of my sore muscles, Sunday was spent like this:
And finally, Today, is Monday and my hubby fulfilled a life long dream of getting his motorcycle license. We rented a Harley for the test and then spent the rest of the afternoon driving up the canyon and enjoying the beautiful weather and the motorcycle. Needles to say my hair and clothes were not photo worthy after hours on the back of a motorcycle, but it was totally worth it!

We had a blast running the Dirty Dash, I have never laughed so hard or had so much fun while running a 10K! I am lucky to have such great friends who are willing to play in the mud with me!
